ADA and WCAG 2.1 AA
Keyboard navigation, contrast, alt text, labelled forms, captions and focus states, tested with automated tools and a screen reader. WCAG 2.1 AA is also the level in the Department of Justice’s ADA Title II rule for state and local government sites, now due from April 2027 for larger entities.
State privacy laws
California’s CCPA/CPRA and a growing list of state laws affect cookies, tracking and data requests. We add a consent tool, a ‘Do Not Sell or Share’ link where needed and data-request forms you can manage.
Sales tax on e-commerce
Since the 2018 Wayfair ruling, online sellers can owe sales tax in states where they pass economic thresholds. We wire tax to Shopify Tax, Stripe Tax or Avalara so rates stay current without code changes.
Email and SMS rules
CAN-SPAM for email and consent records for SMS marketing, with unsubscribe and preference links that actually work.
Children’s data

Questions US companies ask before they hire us

Can a development team in India really work well with a US company?
Yes, when the process is written down. You get one point of contact, a staging site you can open at any time and written updates as work lands, so nothing depends on being online at the same moment. Calls go into the short live window in US Eastern mornings, or are booked in advance outside it.
What hours do you overlap with US time zones?
Our office hours are 9am to 8pm India time (IST), which is 10:30pm to 9:30am Eastern Standard Time, or 11:30pm to 10:30am during Eastern Daylight Time. That gives a short live window in Eastern and Central mornings. Pacific and Mountain teams usually work asynchronously with us and book calls ahead.
Will my website meet ADA and WCAG requirements?
We design and test against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard US regulators and courts refer to most often: keyboard access, colour contrast, alt text, form labels, captions and screen-reader checks. Accessibility is a legal question for your counsel, but the build gives you a site that is tested against the standard rather than one that only looks fine.
Can you handle US sales tax on an online store?
We set up the store so tax is calculated by the platform or a tax service, for example Shopify Tax, Stripe Tax or Avalara on WooCommerce, based on the states where you have nexus. Which states you collect in is a decision for you and your accountant; we build it so it is configuration, not code.
Who owns the code and designs?
You own everything we build for you. Source code, designs and content are transferred to you in full on payment, with no licence fees or lock-in, and domains, hosting, app store, analytics and payment accounts are opened in your company’s name from day one. We are happy to sign your NDA before you share any project details. If you need a separate IP assignment document, we sign that too.
How do you quote, and in which currency?
After a short discovery call we send a written scope with milestones and the price for each milestone. Tell us the currency you budget in when you enquire.
Can you work with our in-house developers or an existing agency?
Yes. We can take over an existing codebase after a short code review, add dedicated developers to your team through our hire developers model, or build one part of a larger project with your team owning the rest.
Do you build HIPAA- or SOC 2-sensitive systems?
Tell us at discovery if the product will store health records or other regulated data. It changes hosting, vendor and logging choices from day one, and some of those vendors have to be contracted by you directly.
